Throttle body advice?

Today I was replacing my leaky throttle body shaft seals and I bent one of em when I was pressing it in. After getting pissed off and going inside I was looking around online which lead me to the BOOMBA Evo VIII/IX 75mm Throttle Body. http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/b...ttle-body.html I know it won't make much of a difference, considering I'm currently using factory icp and turbo. But is it worth the $400 in the long run if you have a goal of +500hp?

I am running it with the F1-I and using the 65mm inlet, its a nice piece. I think you have to ask yourself, when am I going to be upgrading the intake manifold, when am I going to be upgrading the turbo and do I have $400+ that I can invest right now to not see a whole lot of benefit from. You may gain a couple ponies from it right now but it wont be much.

Yeah true, that puts **** in perspective. I'm a student on a low budget right now so I think I'm going to opt for another set of shaft seals and pay $20 instead. Lol thanks man

I did the same thing, but went with the Full Blown 70mm TB. Somehow it broke at the seam of the inlet pipe (I used a t-clamp which may have caused the break) and now I'm back to the stock TB with the new seals. Couldn't be happier, except I'm out the cost of the FB TB.

Easiest way I've done shaft seals were using a socket to press them in. Good luck man

Get the upgrade shaft seals if your replacing them. I'd go with a ported stocker mil spec if i were you, less problems than a "universal" aftermarket TB.

IMO it's def a waste of money, the factory parts are fine for pretty big HP engines. If at some stage you decide to build a full out race engine then yeah, and at that point the $ won't be an issue. But for now, if you have that money to burn, it would be better spent elsewhere.

Why do you try Buschur Racing Throttlebody 65mm. I was in the same plece as you are right now, so i bought the BR TB and Buschur Racing Ported Intake Manifold for 450 for both. Love that setup and good power gains also the prices were fair.
