Any pros here that know a lot bout snap on modis

I have one and I don't know anything bout it. thinking of selling it if its not for newbies. can someone tell me somethings bout it?

Talking about the ECU scanner? I'd sell and get a basic OBD-II scanner.

So you just happened to come accross a $7500 scan tool? Wow, wish i had your luck!

It's not just a scan tool. It's a graphing DVOM, lab scope, and a lot more. It's hard to believe you somehow just came across it.

They all have serial numbers and are easily tracked. If there's an issue with it or needs to be updated, you need to go to a Snap On dealer. And if it has been reported stolen, it will be in Snap On's database. Just a thought.

It's very simple to navigate. If you're doing basic diagnostics just enter you're type of vehicle and pick between engine, abs, airbag, etc. It's a good tool. We use that here at the shop for cars that aren't Chryslers. But like someone said above, it sucks when you gotta update the thing. Snap-On whacks you with a pretty good $$$ every time it needs to be updated. And it's simple for them to do it. They just charge through the nose because they can.
