I don't believe it matters where the bov is positioned. I know the owner of Toxicfabs evo has the bov down there as well and the only reason behind it was to make it look cleaner under the hood. Cyber Evo may run it there so that its out of the way while they work on it.

I could be wrong but I was always told its better to run it closer to the intercooler so that the air disturbance is farther away from the throttle body. Theres a great deal of debate about maf and bov positioning and I havent found it make much difference in any event.

There are a lot of differing opinions on BOV/MAF position like mentioned.
When I ran a blow through MAF setup on one of my nissan builds, I had the BOV on the hot side of the intercooler piping.
Tons of theories behind placement and changes with setups, google bro.
You'll find why they most likely did it, or at least get some new insight into different setups.
