Took my car in to one of the guys who used to work for a private dealer I bought from awhile back. Today he looked over my sunroof and figured out the issue and will fix it for free.

He also asked me questions about my car and realized which evo I had, he then told me this is probablythe evo with the motor he bought that got built from his mechanic who buys jdm motors and rebuilds them at a certain mileage due to U.S. restrictions.

what is the engine code to see if I have a jdm engine by mistake?

the dealer didnt know that my motor came with cams and a 9 turbo.

one noticeable difference is the valve cover ,IM . i had a JDM swap in mine
