Key Warning Switch..Dammit!
Hey all, I was putting my lower steering column cover on, snagged the key warning switch and screwed it up. Anyone know how to R+R the key surround? Do I have to take off the steering wheel? I looked in the service manual and it doesn't give a procedure...
Thanks for any help!

Ya, there is a little white switch in there that tells the computer that the key is in the ignition...its what sets off the warning tone when you open the door and what makes it so you can't lock your keys in the car. It surrounds the ignition key along with the light bezel and the immobilizer antenna. I just need to know how to remove the whole part so I can replace it.

Question
What were you doing in there in the first place? I just noticed that my steering column cover separated and I can't squeeze it back together for the life of me...

Mounting a boost gauge. What I really need to know is if one has to take the steering wheel off or not. I know that someone has changed the color of the bulb for the key bezel, so it has been done, I just need to take the whole part off...
