Bought my 03 Lightning Yellow 6 years ago with 53k on it, now has 68k on it...hardly gets driven, only on nice days.....entirely too clean to mess up in the rain, lol. Everybody that sees it can't believe its the original paint, and that the car is so clean, even under the hood looks brand new.

This is awesome! You are the first original owner in this thread that I am aware of. Whats your Mileage? Under 100K right?

I fell in love with mine the day I saw her, and my feelings havent wavered a bit.

Im with you, I love it when people are surprised at how clean my 10 yr old car is. They always ask how I keep the interior so clean. My engine compartment isnt as clean as I would like, but not from oil leaks or any leaks for that matter. Just some dust from some dirt road fun from a while back. Dont do that any more though, Im trying to keep it as clean as possible now days!

74000 miles on the clock, and being around the forums all the time, a lot has changed. Progress and trends are a funny thing.

What are you refering to along the lines of progress and trends?

Has a lot changed on your EVO?

I still think its absolutely awesome you have had your `03 EVO since day 1 being an original owner, and still under 100K miles. Im the second owner, got her in `05 and am lookin forward to our 10 year anniversary together!

You know, by traditional standards, most 10 year old cars, on average, would have somewhere around 120,000 miles on them. Food for thought for all of you out there in EVOM land.

My car is mostly stock, some basic mods. But being on the forums for a while, I have read more then I have posted. And there have been so many fads, shops, and "next big thing" modifications to come and go, it is nuts. So I figured it is best not to go crazy and follow trends, just keep it simple.
By progress, I mean back in 04' many people were running gt35r's to make power and run low 11's maybe 10's on average. Now u could run a stock frame turbo with a stock ecu tuned well, and run the same or similar times. This is just a small example, very small. But I'm sure u see where I'm heading.

^ I agree with you completely, I read a bit more than I post as well. Im not a trend follower. I go for a clean and functional set up that is fast at the track days and autox but still reliable and comfortable on the street (for now). Once I get myself a tow rig she`ll become a track queen. Im more into the clean look as well, and go more for the tried and true performance upgrades than "the next big thing" or latest "trend" or "fad", Im more focused on suspension mods these days.

I'm the third owner, 94k on the chassis, almost 20k on the motor. Bought it in March 2010 with 49k.

And I drive way too much. I start a new job next week that's 1.5mi from home so it should take a while to get to close that last 5k.

^ I wish I could get a good job close to the house! Living in a semi-small town has some serious drawbacks.
