Question Rear window completely cracked, any ideas?

Alright two weeks ago I came outside and my rear window was completely spidered. The ENTIRE window. And evenly. There was no impact whatsoever. I had run my defroster for 10 minutes that morning, and after researching the forums I've concluded that it is a perfect combination of the defroster, humidity, unicorns, and Mother Earth hating me because I'm black that caused this perfect blend of window destruction powers that put me in this situation. Well being in Hawaii, the window had to be special ordered from the mainland, so it won't be here for another week. I don't want this hassle again, so is there anybody who has more than the same generic vague "I think something to do with defroster" answer that I find everywhere else as to the cause of this, so that I can make sure that it doesn't happen again. And no, I don't have a bunch of subs in my trunk, for all you who were ready to jump to "black driver" conclusions

Bahahahaha! Awesome post, im a glazier by trade and I can tell you the only possibility of it being caused by the defroster would be if the glass was damaged previously (scratched, cut, or chipped) could of even been done from the day it was installed. It is tempered glass so its most vulnerable point is the edge of the glass. With the cold and heat, if there was a defect or damage the contraction and expansion of the metal body and glass could cause unequal pressure leading to failure of glass. In short, replace the glass and make sure to be careful with the edges when installing and you should be fine! Good luck and remember, glass does break sometimes for no reason at all, even if you are black :P

And also on another note, to add to Canadian-Ix post....im also a glazier and your window breaking how it did isnt some act of god. Every window on your car besides the windshield is tempered glass, so when it breaks it breaks into a million little pieces...its a type of safety glass
