Any tricks to valve cover removal?

Getting it hydrographed so I need it off. But it seems to be pretty well glued (not literally) on there. I don't remember the last time I had it off but I feel like it didn't take this long. All bolts, cop, etc is removed, just seems to not wanna budge. Any suggestions?

Yeah, sometimes it can form a nice seal. I ended up just using a small flat head screwdriver to gently wiggle it loose. Once it got started the whole thing lifted off.

You could also stick the handle of the hammer into the oil fill location and use that like a pry bar. I wouldn't use the screwdriver because if your not careful you can damage the surfaces.

I was running a flat head around the seal but stopped since knowing my luck I'd slip and scratch it haha. But I'll try the rubber mallet here in a few, it's just so cold in the garage!

Don't lift straight up. Lift right hand side first as it slides under the cam gears on the left.

I got her off, mallet worked fine. I coulda sworn I just lifted it off a couple years ago, maybe because it was in the summer while the car was not 16 degrees..

rubber mallet...soft taps...work your way around and it will be off in no time. Once the seal is broke just a bit its cake after that.
