Perrin FMIC fitment problems. evo 8

so i got a Perrin FMIC, i tried to install it today, and its not close to fitting. the core hits the fan, making it so that the bolt mounts on each side are nowhere near where they need to be to mount it up. anyone else seen this issue?

EDIT: TO HELP ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM, THIS FMIC IS SUPPOSED TO COME WITH SPACERS/LONGER BOLTS FOR THE MOUNTING POINTS. CONTACT PERRIN IF YOU WANT TO GET THEM

Did you buy the FMIC used? If so, I am guessing that it didnt come with the required spacer. I have the old style with sheet metal end tanks as opposed to the cast endtanks and the passenger side mount requires a small spacer to move it away from the fan. I am not sure if the same holds true for the newer style but figured I would mention it.

same here, i used rubber spacers while installing ams ic i found in my garage.use any rubber grommet u can find just to make enough room between fan and core.

I'm using Perrin FMIC, and there's no issue like you mentioned above...

Like other guy said, probably you didn't get the hardwares that you need to install

yeah do that its even better.nothing wrong with stock spacers, they just a little softer so when you start tighten the bolt watch when to stop and leave the space between core and fan.

well since i needed T-Bolt clamps anyway, and Perrin had them for cheaper than NAPA by my house, i decided to order those and just order the spacers and bolts that were supposed to come with the FMIC. only cost me $14 shipped for the bolts/spacers i need
