Removing Bottom Dash Piece

Need to remove the dash part by steering wheel. I see only two to three screws. Is that it or do I need to remove the top portion first?

I think it just comes off, 2 screws at the bottom and 3 clips at the top.

Yup, 2 screws and it just pops off when you pull.

The bottom portion is attached to the top, once the screws are out its easy to uncouple.

Whatever you do dont force that bottom peice, you either have to tilt the steering wheel or take the bottom dash panel off below the clamshell assembly or you risk breaking the keyfob sensor thingy.

I'd first make sure there's slack in the wiring behind the switches. So take care of the wiring first if necessary.

I've had every panel off the dash the dash has and every one is an adventure. So, pull the screws and then do some careful prying until you get a sense of which way the clips go. Otherwise you are trying to break them off. Once it comes off it will look so simple but it pays to take your time.
