I mean it can go on two ways, but on mine there was marks from the gear on the trigger plate...the large diameter gear goes to the back and the small diameter gear is the timing belt gear and that goes to the front...Unless you got a new trigger plate or cleaned it I guess you can put it on backward

Found the issue. The thing by the can angle sensor behind the plate wasn't t line up right. I guess when they put the cam back in the exhaust cam wasnt line up with the cam angle sensor.
