S3's on a small turbo

Who here runs s3's on a small turbo? I've been told there are even people running stock turbos with s3's making good power and not sacrificing having a meaty powerband. If this is the case why do people even bother with s2's?
Looking to pick up 75whp on a dyno with buschur dyno specs. On a maxed out gt3076R. The documentation on the s3 description however says you shouldn't even consider these cams unless you have a gt42... Since I plan to road race the car..... I'm worried.

If there is another thread on this please link me.

It is silly to say S3's wont work with anything really, and they do work really well on small stock upgrades or stock turbos. I have S3's in my car and Im running nowhere near a 42R, and no one does really haha.

People typically go with S2's because you dont really need to do any wild valvetrain upgrading

I'm not sure what lifters my car has on it but i've already got the supertech dualsprings/retainers how much wilder would I have to get to do the s3's?
Since my turbo is able to pump out more boost but it doesn't increase any power... I'm just wondering what else might be a limiting factor. I'm getting 20psi @3900rpm now what would s3's be like in comparison to that?

s3's are good cams. But you would be wise to fully build your head to run them, esp at high rpm. And make sure your guides/valve tolerances are to spec if your head is ported.

I believe TSCOMP recently tuned a stock turbo VIII with S3's.
Check the dyno numbers section.
