anti-surge ports hurt spool?
I'm really close to ordering a turbo from Precision (6262). They have 3 different options. T04E, T04S, and T04SP. T04E has a 3" inlet and 2" outlet while the other 2 have a 4" inlet and a 2.5" outlet. Just recently, I heard that anti-surge ports hurt spool. If true, how much does it hurt spool up?
Also, I'm looking for a a really good spool up while making 600HP on a 2.3L stroker. Which would be a good option for me?

Changes in actual spoolup time on a turbo like that would be miniscule. The antisurge ports help displace airflow for when the turbo reaches peak it doesnt surge. Its been "heard" that ported shrouds hurt spool, but IDK that its been proven anywhere that its actually noticeable, even on a chart. I may be wrong, but my opinion. I would go with the ported shroud.
