Reliability of long drives with built motor

Regardless of any type of trip if the motor is going to fail its going to fail, just sucks that you maybe 400 miles away from home. But running an engine for long periods of time on a fresh build makes absolutely no difference because its 'fresh'. If its built correctly, you won't even be able to tell the difference.
I've driven 1k miles on fresh motor in a week... after the first 25-50 miles your rings should be solidly seated (no blow by), then most likely from there it maybe a strange bearing failure.
