Where in Jersey are you located?
Yellow really grows on ya! Where I live, it's a sea of bland boring 'beige-blue-white' all blend together cars. My car really stands out and it makes me (and most importantly my kids/wife smile!).

... wasn't 'my first choice' but I will always try to keep a Yellow Evo from now on!

From what I could tell on the car, it appears that either the motor has been replaced or the head. Because when i took the timing belt cover off I saw blue numbers writen on the side of the head similar to what junk yards write on motors and such. Also the intake manifold looks very clean like its been replaced, which leads me to believe the whole motor has possibly been changed because I don't know who would change the IM.

I am not sure if the paint is 100% original, some parts look better than others and some parts are a little faded. It obviously has some rock chips since most of the miles have been accumulated on the highway, but since its a yellow car it hides these flaws very well in pictures.

I am planning to use this thing for a daily driver, but I do think the car as a whole drives very well, it drives no different than a low mileage evo 9 I test drove a little while ago.

Thank you! The yellow is really growing on me!

I was a little worried because when I did the oil change I couldn't find any M1 HM and only got M1 Extended performance. Hopefully it works out good!

Previous owner posted the compression numbers on the car and they were on the low side, however the car runs and drives like any other stock evo I have driven. So my guess is that the low compression is due a possible valve sealing issue and not a piston ring problem, because if it was the rings the car would either smoke or have excessive blow in which case the oil test would be picking up fuel. Which would also hint as to the head being a replacement. How ever I never double checked the number to verify the previous owners findings.

I knew a guy name luke, he used to own an eclipse and a twin turbo dodge stealth.

I was kind of curious, has anybody compiled a list of evo and the rarity by color and options and such? Kind of like they have for 3000GTs, and galant Vr-4s.

New guy has mad forum skills... hahaha...

I know there was a list compiled somewhere on here (you can find it in Google) about models sold. But I don't think it was broken down by color. I would love to have this information though. Sadly... I think the only way to do this is to create a registry of some sort (a la, old muscle car style).

There has to be a straight forward way to do that though...

I wish you would stop talking about this. Its so easy to find M1 HM but if you guys keep hyping it up I won't be able to get it anymore.

So let's get back on track. AMSOil is the best. Everyone should use it...even if you only drive the car to work and back and an occasional "hellaflush" meet.
