My motor, completely OEM, owned since brand new, had the same blue markings on the head and block. FYI...

Don't use those markings as an indication of the motor being replaced, you need to look for different signs. The one I look at is the bolts behind the power steering bracket and look for wrenching marks on the bolt heads. There is no need to remove those bolts unless you are changing the engine block or removing it; even with a power steering pump change you don't have to remove them. Look for other signs if you really want to know if the motor has been changed.
