EMail Tune - Mellon vs English Racing
#32
Yea you can't make a bad choice I've heard great things about Mellon and Tom I personally get tuned by Aaron @english ( John Bradley) and have never been disappointed he's extremely humble an down to earth. And he knows his s*** but again from what I've read Tom and Mellon are awesome as well

My vote is for mellon. He travels out of country for one which most will not do. My experience was great. During the time we were tuning a actually went out of town and he had no problem picking right bacck up when i got back so it was more on my time kind of. We also had problems with my car, and he knew what it was with just a look of the log which i couldnt do lol. And 6 months or so after my tune something happened with the rom on my computer and when flashed to the car it would crank but not start. On the computer when trying to open the rom after the no start it would say corrupt file. A simple email, and chris sent my final rom back to me again at no charge. He said there was more uptop power left but left the decision up to me to push the car further instead of taking it upon himself to do so and tune it to the ragged edge like some will do. 357hp on a stock turbo and injectors with just bolt ons had some people jealous in the thread chris posted about my tune saying they had more done and other tuners didnt get them as much power. I definately will be going back to him in the future.

to the OP, I don't think you can make a bad decision here, every tuner mentioned knows what they are doing and will take great care of you I'm sure. Check out our youtube chan if you want to see some of our work in action. http://www.youtube.com/user/MellonTuning?feature=mhee

Ok I will bump this right now.. I have decided on Speed Density. I had a tad delay in parts... I upgraded to FIC 1250s..Nothing related to the tune or TSComp - just a custom made part that I had made for me to work with Speed Density.. The reason for speed density? I had a problem with my idle dropping/stalling at low rpms necause of my MAF, or possibly leaking BOV/recirc valve.. so I chose to do speed density to eliminate areas of error . I have all of my parts installed now with just the BASE map from Tom at tscompusa.. this is just the base map. I have far more to go. The car now has zero problems, it runs awesome, no more idle problem, the idle sits perfectly at just around 1k. I can't wait to finish this tune. Tom has been an extremely awesome guy with the help. I even had my own problems and he dedicated his time to help me getting back to normal with my car.. Keep posted for a final thread review once I am finished tuning - because this is the base map... but so far I couldn't be happier.
