Strange fluid appearing on hood

For the past week or so I noticed that what looks like oil keeps appearing on my hood. It seems like its coming from the radiator area. After a drive of about 30 miles or so there will be 15 or so drops on my hood that are slightly yellow in color. I've rubbed it in between my fingers and it definitely feels like oil, but it smells pretty strange. It's possible that its coming from cars in front of me on the freeway but it seems very unlikely. Does anyone know what it could be?

Did you over tighten a valve cover bolt? A slight crack in the valve cover will cause that. Had it happen to me and was stumped until I popped the hood open let it run for a bit and get hott and seen it squirting a little bit out of the corner of the valce cover.

Either that or check the turbo line fitting that runs to the top right of the head.

Well I'm probably just going to bring it into a shop because it seems like it could be a number of things. How quickly do I need to get this checked out? Would I still be okay for a couple of days?

Really depends on what it is that is leaking and how much. Car should not leak fluids man

Open the Hood, get under the car. should be pretty evident man. A couple drops on the hood may or may not be a crap load of fluid under the hood or car

I'm **** so the day I saw it I'd have to find and fix it.

I'm fortunate to have a garage with a clean floor (clean in a relative sense lol). The last time I changed oil I had a small spill and no oil dry. Anyway, every time I am backing out of the garage I am looking at the floor for any liquid. I need to get some oil dry, I've been over to that oil spot umpteen times.
