Brownish color coolant
#5
I just did a heater core replacement in my GSX. There was all kinds of nasty brown fluid inside of the heater core. Junk just gets in there. If I were you I would check your oil as well to see if there is any mixture of coolant in there as well. If there is then you probably got a blown head gasket. If there is not any mixture of coolant in your oil then I would drain your fluid and check it after a day to see if its the same.
Also do a compression test and leak down test this will help to identify problems.

If there's no coolant present in your oil, then I would do a coolant change on your car.
At what point did you notice this, or what did you do that has ultimately caused it?
Like, did you just recently start using your heat? Did you do something that messed with your coolant, or enviro controls?
When the car is at operating temperature, are both the upper and lower coolant hoses hot?

I agree with the above, it could just be buildup over time that came loose or something, but it would still be a smart thing to look everything over and maybe do a compression test before the engine is warm, and then again when the engine is at operating temperature.

Have you added Redline water wetter recently? If so, where did you put it? I'm just asking because I had a customer come in with a milky over flow reservoir and none of the blown/ leaking headgasket symptoms.. The culprit was the Redline water wetter and where he added it, a year ago..

You guys usin dexcool? Lolz jk. To back up, if theres no coolant in your oil, likely just need to change the coolant.
My exhaust puffs white but thats from E85, and even when the car was just on 93+meth it did it due to water accumulating in the exhaust and vaporizing. Water collects in exhaust pipes regardless, so that doesnt always necessarily mean its a blown HG.
