Good to hear your results. I just ordered both the 8pc, 2pc and the turbosmart MBC from LancerShop.com. I have read the instructions and it sounds like a piece of cake.
Main reason I got them is beacuse of the great results I got from the Symbroski (spelling) shift kit on my '99 GSX. Install on the GSX was a snap. And from what the instructions look like they are almost the same.
I can't wait to Install these things.

Wow, you can look right down at it by looking behind the battery. You can easily reach it w/o removing anything. After looking at it, there is a metal ring on the outside around the rubber on the inside, so it does not look like it will make a big difference. The shifter in this car i think is very good compared to many others I have driven. For $30, it may be worth a try and easy to do.

How do you get the stock rubber bushings off the shifter assembly? I was looking at them when installing a short shifter. I don't see how to get them out other than cuting them out.
Anybody replace bushings on the shifter yet?

Shifter Bushings
Don't sweat it, really. The shifter bushings are easy as pie to install. If you put in a short shifter this will be nothing to do. The kit comes with easy to follow instructions.
