Notchy shifting GONE!!!!!

I bought the 2pc Under-hood Stiff Bushings Kit from lancershop and BOY do they work. The notchiness that everyone complains about it totally gone. Every gear slips right into place without any hesitation. It used to feel like it wouldnt go in perfect, but with these bushings it is the total opposite! I advocate everyone go and buy these along with the shifter bushing used on the shifter itself.

Yes I would highly recomend these. I was having problems with the 1st to 2nd gear shift in the higher rpms and this fixed that. It also feels much better switching gears as there is more feel when going into gear.

It was an easy install. You have to remove the battery and battery tray and its a little more trouble if you want to install the bushing for reverse (its hidden underneath the regular linkage). It does come with good instructions so you shouldnt have any problem.

What's the difference between the 2pc bushings, and the 8pc stiff shifter bushings (purpose-wise)?

What is an under hood bushing? Is that an engine mount bushing? There are lots of bushings under the hood - never heard this term before.

Hmmmm,

I don't really have any complaint about how my EVO shifts...

I hated my wife's WRX shifter before the Kartboy short shifter and bushings. I think it's noticeably shorter than my EVO. Now that I think about it, maybe I'll get the Kartboy for my EVO, my birthday isn't too far away . Is the Kartboy as nice for the EVO? I know Tom from KB is on here and I think he has an EVO, right?

Bushings

Could someone post pictures of this install. I just compleated install of a perrin short shifter and the metal shifter bushings that I purchased from Lancershop.com. I am considering the under hood kit, but would like to see how difficult it is to install first. Thanks

Well I didnt get any pics of the install but here is a pic of where this linkage is located. The reverse linkage sits below the one you see and is turned sideways. The reverse bushing doesnt need to be installed but it will give reverse gear a better feel.
