Cushion swapping usually comes to a screeching halt when it is discovered that the seat rails are not removable without drilling and re-tapping the the seat rail fasteners. The fasteners installed by the seat maker were put in with thread locker that makes them impossible to remove without high heat. If using high heat first remove all upholstery and plastic. Yeah, it is a mess.

Please fill me in on that. The previous owner of my car had it scratched up, and it's kinda starting to bug me now.

same here, so here is what i did. you cant paint them, why cause it wont last and wont be apealing at all Soooo,

Sand down any high spots lightly, like deep scrathes and such. Get 3m Matte Black Vinyl, it matches perfectly. Heat the plastic up so its warm, Aplly the vinyl using the preferd method, heat and strech. Once its on Heat it up again and Fimly press it into the plastic it will contour perfect to the surface and pour of the plastic. Ive dont my glove box, Back of my seats, and thinking of doing other stuff in the future with this method. Maybe even carbon on the back of the seats.

Nice tip! I am thinking of doing that as a preventative measure.

My 4 year old love to kick the back of my seat I tell him Bumble Bee's gonna get mad and transform!!
