Walbro 255 is the standard upgrade just about everyone uses. To answer your question though, fuel pump upgrade is cheap insurance.

yeah, but not the only option and cetrtainly not the best option as far as quiet and reliable goes. Yes the DW pump is a great option, quiet and flows plently if your doing other mods in the future do it now. With what you have today--not necessary.

Its a very inexpensive peace of mind insurance policy. I agree it is a bit loud, but disagree about reliability.

Yeah, mainly looking at the DW's due to less noise. So, a DW200 be good enough or should I go for a 65c or 300? How do they fit? I notice a youtube video of a Walbro 255 install and the guy had to put in a rubber piece underneath to make it fit in the housing. Do this piece come with the install kit?

Check out the Aeromotive Stealth 340, it is a drop-in pump and it performs pretty well all while having dead silent operation.

Isn't the connector on that "reverse" and I have to swap out pins or something to make it work?

That was on the first few that were sold when they came out a while back.

There's a thread that shows the flow of Evo 8/9/aftermarket pumps. The 9 flows more than the 8. With bolt ons and 25psi tune I was comfortable with the stock pump, as was the tuner. Planning on e85 soon so will be getting an aftermarket one.
