Fuel Pump install tips/question

Ok, so I decided to check if my fuel pump is stock or not. What a bi$$h! The one plastic tube wouldn't clear coming out or in! I had to force it bend it a little. Is there a prefer way of doing this? Any tips on putting that POS metal ring back? Also, my whole assembly, cover, etc was dirty. Did the best I could've to clean it but some dirt might have gotten in to the tank..should I worry??

Watching the boostedfilm How To video, he said you need to start it a couple of time before it will start. Is the same as priming? So do just hook up all the hoses and everything back together to do this?

i feel your pain bro.i did it twice.all you have to do is to be patient.the ring is a biatch you have to slowly turnt it until holes aligns with studs.as for lines don't wory if you bend them a little you not gonna damage anyway.don't worry about a little dirt in the tank, that's why pump sock filter is for.good luck.
