fp great warranty

Garrett's have an excellent track record hence why we use them for our large frame T3 exclusively but they do break from time to time. Their warranty procedure is way more strict and convoluted than ours could ever hope to be.

In the words of Arnold "It's not a tumor" the shaft was not bent.
There was an internal problem that could not have been diagnosed prior to assembly and unfortunately the customer had to find the issue. Luckily the customer did the right thing and at the first hint of trouble shut the car off and pulled the turbo. And no we don't foresee this issue occurring in any other turbos we've shipped to date this is definitely a fluke.
The turbo is cleaned and on the builders table and it's his number one priority this morning and will be shipping out today. I appreciate Luke coming back and amending this thread but remember people if you want to know what we'll do and how quick we'll do it the only people to ask is us. Everything else is speculation.
We're a phone call away and operators are standing by.

If you were to buy a TV bring it home and keep it for 3 months and turn it on and watch 10 hours of TV and the remote stopped working would you expect a new TV?
You get my point right? He bought the turbo in December it's March now and it has been used although for a short period still used and well outside any acceptable return policy known to man (unless you count wal-mart). It's not like the whole thing grenaded on his car one part failed causing less than optimal performance and we replaced that part and corrected the issue in less than 24 hours I might add! Also on top of that the only parts that weren't new when it got back to him were his Turbine housing, Compressor housing, and wastegate actuator the CHRA was completely replaced.
I challenge you to find another turbo manufacturer that would replace your used broken turbo with a brand new unit.

If you don't like it, don't buy from them. They clearly state if its a defective part, they will fix it and keep on fixing it. They could just not do that at all if thats what you prefer?

A first I thought a brand new Turbo was in order but then I started THINKING about all the other warranties I've dealt with other companies including my own. And they have always just repaired the problem. Cars, hvac equipment, etc... why should fp be any different?
HeLL if every turbo company just tossed out a new Turbo instead of fixing the problem on warranty I'd be afraid to see what the prices if turBos would be today.

If you were to buy a car and drive it home and let it sit in your garage for 3 months and the next time you drove it the power steering pump went out would you expect a new car?

If I bought a TV and when I went to watch it the remote failed, Yes of course I would go have it warrantied.
Now if you add 3 months onto both those situations, Yes I would still go get it warrantied because manufacturer warranties are 6 months to a year.
As far as I knew he just received the turbo, installed it without waiting 3 months then failure. So now I do agree with what you have done as I am now aware.
Are you retarded? I've already stated in this thread I own an FP Green

And out comes some facts that I was unaware of. However to answer your questions, If I bought a power-steering pump and went to drive my car and it failed YES of course I would pull the ****er and warranty it. Now why the hell would I buy a car and then the power-steering pump fails and expect it to be warrantied? Two completely different situations

Care to shed some light to steer me away from a future gtx3576r?
#58
Cuz the gt3076r is short about 75whp and the hta3076 can't put down 500+ on buscher spec mustang dyno. Dont want to lose anything in the powerband and will be keeping the .63 turbine housing.
