For comparison, shop rates are $125-150/hr up here, and it would probably be close to 10 hours if it's 6 down there So $1250 ish up here (not counting gauges of course!)

Yes, $850 is a damn rip off for install of those 3 gauges.

As others said DIY, you'll know the work was done right and learn something along the way.

I just installed three guages in my car and I can tell you without a doubt its not that hard. I bought the prosport evo guages. Wideband was 190 with the bung, 40$ to have it welded on, 80 for the boost and oil pressure guages. In total, I have just under 400 in guages. I have the under dash mount which cost like $50 and its not too bad, but I am working on a custom piece for 4 guages. They are not hard to install, I am using a terminal strip for a central spot for my power/ground. It is time consuming to install guages which is why the price is so high. However, it is not that hard. If you have a little understanding of electronics you should be able to do it yourself.

This is my custom piece. It should look good and I really dont use the middle vents anyway.

^id like to see that finished.

to the OP, thats just rediculous, do it yourself. Route the wideband o2 down through the floorboard into the downpipe, and wire the power and ground to the cigarette lighter, just pull your center console out. Use the same power and ground for the rest of the gauges just find a rubber grommet in the firewall to route the other sensors.

I plan on tackling this myself if I can't find a shop willing to do it for a fair price. Unfortunately, my time is pretty valuable. I work 60+ hour weeks, so my weekends usually involve a lot of catching up on household chores (cleaning, groceries, etc.).

You can probably find another competent performance shop that can do the job for far less that isn't fairly evo specific.

I like that DIY piece Craig05. Looking forward to the finished product.

Can't tell without it fitted but did you set it up to angle gauges towards driver a little?

This is a prototype. If it turns out I will be making them to order.

Were you planning on selling them on EvoM? You'll have to become a vendor to do that.
