I havent seen to many stroked motors over 700whp. many are staying with the 2.0l.

I can't even imagine what I would do with that kind of power, car would probably scare me at 400whp let alone double that

Why would you build with 1000hp rods when you aren't going to be pushing that? You could get away with a much lighter rod and have a lighter rotating assembly. I would be more concerned with piston design at that power level. Just my 2cents.

I rearly push my car now I shift below 3k I only get on it from time to time.
It'll break if you beat on it all the time and if the motor wasn't assembled correctly.

I'll tell you this much though. I already spent close to $10k and I need another 6-7k to finish (maybe even more as I might be underestimating other parts I will need). Trans build itself was about $2700 and the only thing I bought was a longer final drive. With ideal drag racing gears, it was $1000 a gear so it would've easily costed me close to $5000 in just the trans.

With about $10k into the car, I say I'm about 20-30% done. The first guy that said $30k isn't over exaggerating either.

Common now 800 hp Evo's.

Most are 2.4l with a 6466 running on E...

All depends on if you want to use it as a car or fix at the track all the time.... LOL

From a bone stock car to a 750+whp killer is normally 25k+ or so, like someone said in here already around $30k is a fairly normal number from BONE STOCK. 700whp+ strokers are EXTREMELY common I feel. I see 2 every day

My last evo build was build for 750-800 I was at 730 to the wheels and it just kept breaking so I wanna over build it and not push it this time. For some kinda reliablilty. I know at this hp there is always stuff that is gonna break, but at least my motor will be lesss prone to have problems with this kind of build

Off the bat expect to pay about 25,000.

Have a spare $15,000 on reserve for when all of that sh*t starts breaking

A lot of people aren't even mentioning the fact that you can drop $25k in driveline components alone, not mentioning interior, safety gear, suspension, brakes, wheels, and consumables like oil/tires/fuel. A fully built Evo with more than just a $30k driveline will be a lot more money. Ask me how I know...

I really like this thread. I just heard that the economy was bad. But nope. Not for the evo community. Dropping 30-35k into a car would make most people im sitting next to in class right now s**t the bed! Most dont even have cars. I cant wait till I can build mine. But looks like Im gonna have to wait and just go with the basic bolt ons! I like reading this tho! Good information

Axles?

You used to own a Honda. Not trying to be a wise *** but the only Evo's I've ever seen that need upgraded axles were dedicated drag only cars......and even then........

You are looking sat anywhere from 13k to 20k for everything depending on how baller you want to go.

You think you want 800+.

Unless its dedicated drag car. you don't.

My car was most fun at 450-500.

FOr a street vehicle.....thats plenty.

Lol it will mostly be a 550+ dd street car only when I do track or high stakes races I will switch my map to e85 and put down 800+. I've been offered 5-10g races but I gotta make sure my car is up for the task first .
