Looking for wideband right now and i narrow my search to Innovate and Aem.. But im curious about this autometer wideband.. I know autometer is good brand also but anybody there have thoughts of this wideband? Im curious because i have already autometer boost gauge and oil pressure gauge, i dont want to put other brand on my gauge pod..

@adrano my buddy had aem and when we logged with it on dsmlink it was off. Very inaccurate for us, he switched to innovate and I went with autometer, I mean come on its autometer they don't make ****. Aem is visually appealing.

On a side note I have one of Autometers newest widebands for sale only 2000 miles on it. Same one I mentioned above, it was for my crx since it was a fully built block e85

How do you know it wasn't accurate? What are you using that would prove it to give false readings?

I have used both Autometer and Innovate and have choice words about both of them.

The Innovate was (relatively) expensive and well reviewed so I thought I was doing the right thing with it.
It was (by comparison) excessive in installation, much more work than should have been necessary I thought. I ran it for about 6 months and the gauge quit reading, it would sit in it's "boot up" sequence it did while waiting for the sensor to heat.
I sent it back and they told me the box was bad (The black rectangular job between the gauge and sensor). I got a new one and put it back in and 3-4 months later it won't finish boot up again. I had moved the box from the engine bay (well away from everything) to inside the car interior at this point trying to help the little guy out in case heat got to it (which they said was not a problem). Still failed so I sent it back. After sitting on it for 3 months they told me the box had failed again (I had sent the O2 sensor as well in case it was a problem with the pre-heating, which was what the troubleshooting indicated).
They sent another new one back and I put it on ebay and called it a ~$250 loss.

I went to Autometer after that and have had that gauge in use for about 4-4.5 years with no issues whatsoever. My only complaint about the Autometer is the noise. I prefer analog gauges as I do not like the LOOK AT ME factor of the digital WB gauges. The analog gauge (which I waited about 3 months for after it was pushed back release again) looks and works great, but you can hear the shiat out of the stepper motor.... bzz bzzzzz bzz bzzzz as the needle moves. Worse when cold.
Autometer has no good response other than "some noise may be normal due to stepper motor design on this newly released product" and after a few exchanges they were nice enough to level with me.... when asked if I were to go buy a new one (4 years later) if it would be any quieter than the one I have, they responded "No they're still really loud".

This was a good one thought! I appreciate the effort of posting.. Well, maybe well go AEM or Autometer then..

I've heard nothing but problems from owners with anything but AEM.

IMO ease of instillation, accuracy, design, and price make AEM the clear winner.
