fujitsubo exhaust questions

z1 Perf, if you're reading this.. I like how quiet the fujitsubos are, but I was wondering.. and I know you're a fujitsubo vendor:

Is the ra01 or rm01 (whichever it's called--I can't rememebr??) a 3" exhaust with a straight through muffler? Or is it baffled?

Fit and finish good? i.e. do you need to wrestle with it to get it to hang just right without rubbing?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

the fuji is fairly straight however it is not a full 3". it will make planety of power and the sound is just perfect. the fuji has 2 resonators which will limit the flow a bot but to me it is a small price to pay to keep the car livable and quite. i live in a quite street with a lot of cops and trust me, it is quite. fit and finish on any fuji exhuast is top notch and it is by far one of the best quality exhausts i have ever seen (and trust me i have seen enough)

hope this helps and i am sure Adam will chime in very soon

Ask and ye shall receive

We ahve not dynoed the exhaust independantly, as there really is little need on this car - the catbacks all provide very similar power gains of between 12-18 hp give or take.

can someone confirm this. I heard the Fugitsubo come in a little short on USDM bumper. Also, you need to weld a bung in for the o2 sensor?

actually the fuji comes just right on the usdm bumper unlike the hks one. you do have to weld in the bung but that is a very easy job that any exhaust shop can do for you..

Yes you have to weld a bung....unless you also get the Ultimate Racing Test pipe from us too...this is what every Fujitsubo buyer we have had so far, and it works out great.

Fitment is very nice....it finished just in the same spot as the OEM muffler.

One of the best fitting exhausts you can buy. We are running a special on the RM01A steel system; it's $660 shipped IIRC.

when buying the rm01a, make sure to ask for either the USDM or JDM version. i didn't know that there were 2 different models and i bought the wrong one.
