just some pics of engine bay. Inline is making a charge pipe that will hold boost. they have been tidying up the engine bay. they will also have to put on a boost controller since PowerFab took mine.

What a shame, this is why I do my own work and if I need something done I reach out to shops that actually know what they're doing and have good long reputations working on Evo's.

X2!!! I remember when Midas dropped my new Acura off their lift. Been doing my own stuff since. Even when I get tires done I just bring my rims in.

i think i almost went blind reading your thread but its ok. i cant believe you let that shop walk all over you for that long. i would of been in there demanding my car back after a month. the owner of the shop sounds like he knows how to get around legal matters as he has probably been in them before. good thing you bought your car to a better shop. i would definatly bring that shop owner to court as i think you have a good case and are entitled to about $4000 back plus your lawyer fees.... good luck (start doing your own work saves this head ache)

trust me I've been in there blowing up a few times but he just sits there and takes it and really has nothing to say for what they were doing. it never got me anywhere. my life is too busy for a lawsuit but i guess i gotta do what i gotta do. plus since my car has been in their shop my house burnt down in a wildfire, i got a divorce, i got a new house and I'm getting married again plus my job keeps me busy so thats pretty much why they have gotten away with so much is because I'm too busy to deal with them.

First shop gives me a bill for $2625, with all sorts if bs problems.

Don't feel bad, now onto shop #2 they take 2+ months just to install headers & oil cooler.

Then they complete more work , i left them a 1k deposit. give me a bill for 3500.

Lets just say the only thing that worked was new gauges installed.

Then to top it off they damaged my brand new steering column & rack & pinion that was replaced at the dealership, prior to the first shop commencing the work .

Basically they ruined my steering, trying to blame the knuckle on the steering shaft.

Except it was brand new & was replaced along with steering column & rack.

Also when they did this nano nitrous install, they mixed up the lines that go to the bottle.

Basically had I turned it on, my car would have been ruined.

So I learned the hard way, most shops are crooks.

You need a shop with a good rep to work on your car.

Unless its a hooptie pos.

Mine was quite a bit worse than yours unfortunately, but not with an evo but my previous project, an mr2. I was much younger and dumber. Live an learn I guess.
