radiator

hi , i have an evo 4 and it has blown something inside the radiator which is made from plastic .. Now i went to a guy and he told me he can change the inside of radiator and make it aluminum .. What you guys would you choose new radiator ( factory) 175 euro or refurbish mine for 120 euro

I can't think of what would be inside the radiator that's plastic, but for comparable pricing, you may be able to find an uprated radiator for similar pricing?

In general, if this fellow is saying he can "refurbish" yours for that price, and what did in fact break is a plastic piece, then I would simply get the new radiator.

1. I'd be able to tell that it's new, and know the work was done.
2. Whatever plastic piece he's planning to fix (maybe the top mounts?) would need to just be replaced, and it all sounds sketchy... maybe just lost in translation.

If the end tanks are plastic those can be replaced if the tanks are available. He'd have to uncrimp all the aluminum fingers, install new gaskets and recrimp. Maybe, instead, the taps break off. I'd want a new radiator.
