Im having a problem that I cant track down. The issue is when I took my trustz gauge overlays out and put it all back together, the car will not look when I use the key fob, and also when the car is off the inside chime is always going off, keys in the ignition and keys out of the ignition.

I dont have a clue. Who can help?

 

check your door switches, or your ignition switch. does the door open signal stay on when you start the car and close the doors? good luck.

 

try to disconnect the battery,wait a little and connect again.

Sounds like the key reminder switch in the ignition is broken.

 

No. when the door is closed the door open signal goes off.

 

check you fuse box. you may have shorted something.

^ +1 check that key switch. That's why your chime is going off when the doors are open with no key in the ignition. It still thinks there's a key in there.

 

The key reminder switch probably gotten broken when you took the column cover off since the clearance on it is very tight. The switch is very fragile... If you hear a chime noise when you open the door its finished replace it with another one its only like 23 bucks shipped its looking like 30.

 

Ill will be checking that out! Cause Im at school for 7+ hours a day with no locks and my key entry doesn't work and never has! IDK why. So it just sits unlocked in the parking garage. In a very sketchy part of KCMO
