front bumper in canada

im sure theres a write up about it someplace but can any Canadians confirm what ive heard about needing to change the front bumpers on evo8/9 to be admissable in canada.
Something to do with under 5km/h pedestrian safety? thanks

oh almost forgot. also do you need to get one with fog lights? or is that another urban myth?

All depends on who does your inspection. I didn't need to change anything.

Check the R.I.V. website. Only thing you'll need is daytime running lights. At least that's all I needed.

CDN bumper regulations were changed a few years ago. Evo 8/9 is admissable now.

To make it comply it usually needs daytime running lights, child seat anchors and a sticker on the mph speedo.

You don't need to do anything to the bumpers....I've had my car for over 4 years. The legislation changed about the same time i brought my car up. You will need to install a DRL switch.

Canadian regulations were homologated with the US regulations in Fall 2008. Since then 8's and 9's are admissible in Canada, the only modification required is daytime running lights.
