The first launch was from about 4500 rpm and I ran until I hit the top of third. I turned around and drove it easy, back to the same spot, for another run. Same thing, revved to 4500, went to launch and about a second after.. Well I guess the pics speak for themselves.. Guess its time to invest in a better clutch. BTW I've only launched my car 4 times in the 5 years I've owned it.

I started pulling the tranny this morning, got it all out by my self a few hours ago.. Tired and frustrated, I left the flywheel bolted to the motor. Didn't see any cracks in it but I didn't look at it close.. Going to pull it off in the morning.

Wow looks like you did a number on it. Definately time for something that will hold a little better.

That's an OEM clutch.. Besides all the little dings inside the bell housing nothing else was damaged.

How did the clutch feel after launching it that many times? Cuz my first act clutch fwhen staryed to build it felt like it got softer and had more clutch play. I changed my clutch, flywheel and tranny all at once.

A bigger clutch isn't going to help you based on your mods listed (unless e85 is hidden in there ), practice will though.

FWIW I had close to 70 launches on my stock clutch (all but two were at the strip) 350/350 on a mustang and the car ran in the 11.7 range. Worked great untill I hot lapped 4-5 passes at a grudge night event then it was all over, cracked flywheel and pressure plate, yours still looks way worse though!

I've done the exact same thing to a C10 Chevy clutch by hitting the brakes in an emergency situation, to this day the owner of the truck and my employer at the time thinks I was abusing it.

Shoot happens.

This is why sometimes I consider getting a stock clutch put back in. If treated right it will last a LONG time....Did you remove the clutch pill at all????

Holy ****...

My ACT 6-puck disc shat a spring on an NLTS shift one night, had to limp it 10 miles home rev-matching the whole way. My flywheel was still perfect though. It's not about the number of launches, it's the quality.
