full tomei exhuast to loud??

Hey fellas
currently looking at this set up for my evo 8
tomei expreme ti catback
tomei expreme to test pipe
tomei expreme downpipe w/o2 housing

was looking at reviews and have heard a lot of complaints that the exhaust is way to loud and even rattles the car from the inside.

anyway anyone with this exhaust set up or experience want to help me out and tell me how loud it is, comapred to the stock evo catback or just in general, i dont want to be obnoxiously loud and not be able to have normal conversation in my car.

thank you

I have it, driving on the freeway you have to talk a little bit louder, but not like yell lol. There's a little rumble in the car, but if you want a quiet exhaust why not a stealth one? I haven't been pulled over for it and i've had it for 5 months now.

I knew a guy who I believe had a full ti tomie on his sti. It sounded very nice and looked to be very high quality. Then I saw him and he was mufflerless... He said the welds broke around the can. I don't know how it happened or if I got the "Real" story, but his can was in the trunk and didn't look to be damaged. Either way that exhaust compared to mine is very quiet. I'm running a greddy full ti straight pipes. The test pipe really makes it loud. Just look at the construction, the more resonators and muffler the more quiet. I have also had friends weld in extra resonators on other cars to quiet them down. Maybe there's room on the evo for this is you're really concerned.

Now thinking back, I read somewhere that TI expands and contracts more that SS. Maybe that's why his welds broke? He was also in the army shipping his car from base to base, so it saw big temperature changes.

IMO I'd wear the tomei because of the name. Haha. I had it on my WRX and just couldn't help but smile every time.

Its freakin loud. I don't know if I'm just getting older or didnt get to drive my last evo enough but on my current evo it has me thinking about getting something quieter.

Does anyone make a Ti exhaust that is quieter though?

I have the full Tomei as well. Picked up 47whp without tuning. I'm really picky and didn't want anything too loud. I'm totally satisfied with this exhaust and would purchase it again.

Whatever you do don't buy the greddy TI-R, that's what I have and it's extremely loud.
