I'll make it easier, here's the CL posting in MN for the car.

Seller wants 11K for it...

For the right price it wouldnt be that bad. But as many others said, expect to put some good money into it to get it back to par. I wouldnt get it cheap and expect it to be reliable.

So much fail... The body is in such poor condition. That's an expensive project car.

Lol.... that's funny... STM wouldn't let anything leave there shop like that. If u really want to get this one, just make sure ur ready to put some money into it to get that thing looking right. And if u was to ever want to sale it, u can't charge that much for it because of the salvage title thing. Good luck..

The consensus on EvoMN was indeed to steer clear...

But in all honesty, if you can get it down to $7 or 8k and are willing to build, and I mean really build the thing, do some rust repair, etc, you could have a pretty decent way into a quick car for cheap. I mean, we'd be talking about throwing $10k+ into it at that point, but if you can pick it up and come out with a finished project below $22k I'd call it game on.

Basically, I feel like it's neglected, but it's not in a state where it can't be saved. It has to go to someone with the right drive and passion to return it to what it should be. If you don't want to project, steer clear. If that's what you're looking for, game on.

I think the fact that "it needs a new paint" is the least of the problems with the car.

Unless the seller is willing to pay you to take it, you'll probably end up saving money buying a clean, straight, unmodified (or correctly modified) example.

I wouldn't touch at all, I'd rather find an Evo damaged with a clean title and know what's wrong when I buy it, then buy a salvage title Evo and always wonder what was fixed or wonder how bad the accident was to make it a salvage title before I bought it, been threw tons of cars, Hondas mitsu's, ect ect, stay away from salvage unless ur looking for a cheap track car, with an Evo- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- just my 2cents bro, be careful!!!
