best evo 9 jdm rear replica?
so ive been searching for about 2 weeks for a oem jdm 9 bumper in apex silver and no luck. ive tries contacting a number of vendors including driveline and mitsubishiparts.net and no one seems to have them and dont know when they will get them. in addition they will all come.unpainted so my next option is if i have to paint one maybe i should get an aftermarket and get it painted to match. which company would you think makes the best aftermarket jdm replica.bumper?

Im in the same exact boat as you. Can't find an oem one. and the majority of replicas are made from FRP not urethane. I believe baysonr makes a urethane one, but I'm scared to buy it and am probably going to wait for a new one.

id wanna wait for a.new.one too but if i have to get it repainted and the fit of a replica is just as good i think id go with the replica. the price of a oem one wont change and the cost for a good paint job on the bumper could b 3 to 4 hundred. what vendors have u tried? maybe we r overlooking some?

BTW. Mitsu doesn't paint them anymore, so you will have to get it painted anyway.
Call Mike in parts at Paramus, tell him I sent you. he might even be able to recommend a shop or have it done for you.
The JDM bumper is on the link.

I personally would not go aftermarket as I have not seen one that fits correctly and flush. There are a few out there that look half decent, but if you look carefully they stick out too much or don't have the body lines at the bottom that match up with the side skirts. The only good thing about the aftermarket ones is that you are able to use your OEM crash beam rather than modifying or replacing it, but it causes the bumper to stick out a lot more than the OEM JDM.
If I were you I would personally either wait for one to show up in the marketplace painted in your colour, or just order the white ones from mistubishiparts or other vendors and have it re-painted. Some dealerships in the US also are able to order the rear bumpers, so you can always look into that as well.
Good luck!
