Engine Vibration at 2K-2800rpms NOT balance shafts
#17
Yea trust I know. This problem has been happening since 60k. Im currently at 91k. Why remove it? Well the balance shaft belt broke on me and took out my crank sensor. I dont think I want to put a new belt on so it can pop and jump my timing? Oh no...... Engine is stock.

Let's see: the balance shaft belt was removed at 60K. You've had this vibration problem since 60K. The car now has 91K on it and this vibration has caused no other problem. Hmmm, what could it be?

I'm interested in finding out what could it be. I remember my previous engine did not have this, but since that, I had the engine rebuild, put in Excedy Twin and replaced DP. I know that a lot of engines harmonics are around 3k/rpm and I too have balance shafts deleted.

I am experiencing the same problem, i have a gates timing belt , its very tight with very little or no slack as a result you get a whining sound from the belt . I get vibration from 3k till around 5k and after that its gone. The vibration causes the down pipe to go bizurk.
I have got almost 40k kms on the car, the left balance shaft is alligned but not sure about the oil pump side balance shaft. Ill be soon putting new tensioner bearing, checking the balance shaft phasing and loosening the timing belt just a little bit too see how it goes.
I have a full HKS exhaust system, the mounts are all tight but this damn vibration.
