eBay Full Carbon Fiber Wing (supposedly)

Has anyone purchased the following carbon fiber wing off eBay?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-2007-Mitsubishi-Evolution-EVO-8-9-Full-Carbon-Fiber-Rear-Trunk-Spoiler-Wing-/310701667773?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item48574335bd
Thoughts?

My wing is starting to haze a little bit... not much at all. Have an opportunity to have the sides on this one painted to match for free at the body shop.

Inevitable "you get what you pay for" post here. It's cheap enough I'd probably try it if I wanted a wing. Be prepared for unknowns though.... like no mounting provisions, or mounting provisions different from stock necessitating new holes etc.
That may have been covered in the link... I didn't read it real carefully.

On a semi related note, there was a real nice looking carbon lip on ebay a few weeks ago and priced well (like $180-200). Genuine carbon fiber was in the title or similar. I was hot on the buy it now button but on one last read found it said "product is polyurethane" in real small print. Sneaky bastards, almost got top dollar for a $70 crapper.

I agree this is a "get what you pay for" thing. I found the same wing being offered by 4 different sellers. Typically what sellers like this do, are find manufacturers in China that advertize on ali baba or another wholesale site, then sell the items site unseen and have them shipped from the manufacturers in China, KL, or another 3rd world country.

I am sure this is extremely low quality, as you cannot buy the carbon fiber and resin materials to make this product for what they are selling it for.

buyer beware.

Ive examined one in person. The horizontal member has an exposed hinge bracket on the underside that connects to the verts. (cant see it in the pics, at least the wing I looked at)

If youre just using the wing for show & not the track I would say take a chance & run it. Im sure its not clear coated so it will yellow quickly if not protected

Do you have an evo 8 or evo 9? Cause if you have an 8 the stock wing is already full carbon fiber. You just need to remove the Pieces on either side to reveal it.

^^^ I think you need to strip the paint on the sides not just remove them

I messaged the eBay seller and he said it doesn't fit the OEM wing hole locations. Just an FYI
