Hey everyone!
Finally got around to find some free time to be able to run the 1/4 today at Mason Dixon (Maryland). I was surprised in a bad way to see the times I could squeeze out of it out of 4 runs, so I wanted to start this thread to see if this is normal to you all.
Mods:
Every bolt on imaginable except IM.
Been street tuned on 27lbs.
Never dynoed on final setup, would "guesstimate" around 380ish whp
Street tires
Full interior minus rear seats
Best run was a 13.4 at 105 with a 1.9 60'
The track did not have an area to go around the water pit (On street tires, mind you)
Temp outside today was around 90ish
Is this normal? My supercharged civic ran a 13.7 for god sake...how embarassing...

Yeah just keep practicing man. I've only been twice (the only times I've launched my car). I ran a 12.9 with a 2.1 60' I got it down to a 12.3 with a 1.8 60' trapping at 117 and 112 on two consecutive passes. The 117 I had to shift into 5th and the 112 I rode 4th out on the limiter. This was with 345whp on a dynojet. I feel like I can get a much better time now that I have learned a few tricks.

I ran a 12.4@112.7 with stock engine Turbo cams intercooler and pipes intake tube and almost everything else. The mods were injectors exhaust fuel pump boost controller and tune. If you have every bolt on then you should be faster.

Jordan... you didn't really answer my question. The issue is more than likely your driving, and not the car. That car should easily be in the 12's.
What is your launch control set at, and is your car tuned, and on what fuel?

Step 1: Set 2 step at 5500
Step 2: Practice Slipping clutch on launch to eliminate the bog
Step 3: Skip water box
Step 4: Rev 4th gear out. DO NOT Shift into 5th!
These steps might help a beginner out.
PS: I personally know a guy here No Lift Shifting on a 9 turbo tuned on e85 making 360awhp and he still runs 12.0s. I suggest working on your launch and your 1-2shift. Thats the money maker and the rest is easy. Goodluck
