First trip to the 1/4...This normal??
Hey everyone!
Finally got around to find some free time to be able to run the 1/4 today at Mason Dixon (Maryland). I was surprised in a bad way to see the times I could squeeze out of it out of 4 runs, so I wanted to start this thread to see if this is normal to you all.
Mods:
Every bolt on imaginable except IM.
Been street tuned on 27lbs.
Never dynoed on final setup, would "guesstimate" around 380ish whp
Street tires
Full interior minus rear seats
Best run was a 13.4 at 105 with a 1.9 60'
The track did not have an area to go around the water pit (On street tires, mind you)
Temp outside today was around 90ish
Is this normal? My supercharged civic ran a 13.7 for god sake...how embarassing...

What were your 60' times? Were you bogging off the line?
EDIT: Nevermind, missed the part about 1.9s 60'.
105 is pretty low MPH for that much "alleged" power. I was trapping 112 with ~340whp. At 380 you should certainly be able to manage high 11's with good driving.

well seeing you have a 03 evo 8 stock turbo id say thats your limiting factor along with wet street tires.
If summer tires get wet, its probably the same as running all seasons at the strip.

Sir,if you have stock 8 turbo there's now way you pushing 380whp unless you tuned on E85.but if you tuned on 93 then definitely your 60' should be like 1.6-1.7 and then better shifting will help to improve trap speed and times.if you have nlts, try that.good luck.

As was mentioned. Evo 8 turbo.
Fwiw... in my 9, putting 305 to the wheels mustang dyno, I ran a 12.6 with I want to say a 1.7 60ft @ like 112mph? It was a while ago... and on snow tires. (no I'm not joking)
Do some work on your launch, and your shifting. There's really no such thing as a fast car in the 1/4 mile. Just fast drivers. Which I'm not btw... but the Evo is far from an easy car to drive fast in the 1/4 mile.
What is your launch control set at?
