Question Need boost assistance

I asked a question on a previous thread and ruled that my stock boost controller was shot, so I replaced it with a turbo Xs manual BC, and made a few passes up and down my road and locked myself in at 15psi, previous the car would stop on a dime at 5 psi with stock BC, until e just the other day now the same problem is back, 5psi and absolutely no more then that, I have no leaks, and everything is tight. Only other thing I can think of is that maybe my wastegate needs to be adjusted, any other input guys?

lol i dont have an immediate answer for you, cars put themselves into limp mode for many reasons. are you throwing any codes? hook up a scan tool and see what shes doing. evos run more than 15 psi stock, im pretty sure 18-ish. what modifications do you have? for people to give you suggestions you need to supply us with more information.

Check the preload on the wastegate. If you need help on that, I can explain it if you'd like.

You mean the wastegate rod and adjustable hex nuts for the flap, cuz that's what I'm going for next

Yes. Take the cotter pin out that holds the WGA arm to the wastegate flapper. Then once off, establish the current preload (or not). There should be some preload.

Now figure out the "neutral position". Screw the adjuster (could be up or down, dependent on if you need more/ less preload) until zero preload is realized. By zero preload, I mean no effort for the wastegate arm to slide off the flapper.

Then tighten the nut 3 full rotations, effectively giving you the correct preload you need. It will require effort to pull the arm up and onto the flapper. You can either pull it up or get a bike pump and insert the pump onto the WGA inlet. Then pump the arm up easily.. This will also establish whether or not your WGA is working properly.

Let me know if you need more help.
