E85.can somebody tell me is it possible to get into high 11's?maybe I'm dreaming and pushing my car like an idiot.I flat shifted it,kept floored, never missed a gear.60' 1.77 sec, best I pulled was 12.3@112mph.launch control is set at 5.800rpms,I shifted at 7K all gears.is this a max what I can get or what.all advises appreciated.
I would try lowering your tire pressures to say 20 psi with the way your launching it, if you were to get your 60' down to 1.6 you probably run a 11.9x. Your trap speed does look a little low though, good luck.

Thanks for advice man.i can lower my tire pressure for sure but looks like I have an issue either with boost leak or I incorrectly preloaded my wg actuator.

Dont just go off one trip to the track. It takes time in the seat to get you times down.

You can't just expect to go out there and go fast because its in a straight line

I understand that but this is not my first tine at the strip.sure one pass is bad another pass is better but after 6 passes that day the best I got is this.like I said I didn't do many mistakes.launched decently, didn't miss the shift, etc I've seen others doing worse.

Disconnect your boost controller and see if you pull and hold 25 on just the WGA since you say its a 25 psi actuator. If it still only hits 23 you either have a defective WGA or somethings wrong in the tune/install. Im on the stock IX WGA and hold 30 psi until after about 5800 where it starts to taper off.

I ran 12.0s @ 112-114mph all day long with my IX MR, stock long block, stock turbo, stock intake mani & TB, minor bolt-ons, 25psi, 93 oct. You have an issue somewhere. Mind posting a pic or break-down of the full slip? I say do a boost leak test again. Also, I agree with the possible faulty WGA comment. Your car should have better boost control with the 3 port, why is it spiking to 30psi? Who tuned the car? On e85, your car can safely be tuned for 25psi+, easily. You sure the IX turbo you just put on was in good condition? I'm assuming the car is full weight too?

When I do boost leak tests I like using Windex...Spray everything very well & keep an eye out for bubbles....Injector o-rings, intake mani, TB, egr block off plate, all intercooler piping & couplers, etc, etc....

today I disconnected boost controller and just on wg it doesn't hold 25# it holds 21#.I though it's normal because of the fmic(ams 3.5") I lost 3psi.**** maybe I preloaded my wg incorrectly.

There has to be an issue somewhere. I think if your going threw the gears just fine and cutting 1.7 60fts that is good for an 11 second pass. But like others said, the power might not be there for an 11 second pass. MPH seems a little low too. But still not that bad of times for the stock turbo.

For reference, a few weeks back I brought my WW IX RS to Great Lakes Dragaway as well. My mods are full turboback exhaust, AMS LICP, AGP FMIC, JMF 3" Intake, FIC 1150CC Injectors, Aero Motive 340 Pump tuned on E85. The car put down 357whp/359TQ on the Mustang Dyno spiking 29PSI holding 23PSI. Car went 11.59 @ 116MPH with a 1.72 60ft. Car is a full weight EVO IX RS.

Its all practice man, dont feel too bad, I only manged to get an 11.6 at 117mph in my 500hp 35r car last year at the shootout. My first time out at a 1/4mile track.

My issues are: I dont ride the clutch out long enough upon the launch, making my 1st gear too short, I shift to 2nd too quickly and miss it sometimes lol. Then due to the crappy evo 9 gear box, I have to shift to 5th, which I have never done yet, I tried to ride out 4th every pass last year.

So this year, I gotta focus on slipping the clutch more on a launch instead of dumping it, letting 1st ride out further down the track, get my 1-2 shift down, and shift into 5th. I think my times will greatly improve!
