1/4 mile disappointment

Guys I'm so pissed right now can't even put in words.
Just came back from great lakes dragway in wi.i have '03 evo 8 stock turbo, all bolt ons minus intake manifold.recently installed 25psi wg actuator and 3port.car is tuned on
E85.can somebody tell me is it possible to get into high 11's?maybe I'm dreaming and pushing my car like an idiot.I flat shifted it,kept floored, never missed a gear.60' 1.77 sec, best I pulled was 12.3@112mph.launch control is set at 5.800rpms,I shifted at 7K all gears.is this a max what I can get or what.all advises appreciated.

Full bolt on and tuned evo 8 should make it into the upper 11's. What was your tire setup and how much power are you making?

are you on the stock 8 turbo? I'm assuming so from the description but its missing some required details to know if thats bad or not.

25psi WG, but what boost pressure are you tuned for? Have numbers from the rollers or steet tuned?

Your 60ft wasn't terrible, but the trap speed says you don't have 11's in the bag regardless. So tires and launch and how quick you shift are moot points.

You didn't miss any gears or get off the line like a pig, so the power isn't there for an 11.

Don't know my power brother cause I was street tuned.my tires are just regular street tires on stock enkeis.didn't touch the the pressure cause my goal is to race in street form.

How were your launches?

A 1.77 60' ft is good but your trap speed should be higher.

Lowering the tire pressures will give you better traction off the launch.

thats why, you need to get the boost to stay up there above pump gas numbers to get that trap speed up, especially on a stock 8 turbo.

I'd just put a 9 turbo on it, get retuned and it'll bang 11's all day.

I would boost leak test and see if you're losing boost somwhere. You're not even holding 25psi after your 30psi spike, thats a problem.

You've got cams and E85, theres no reason to run ethanol if your tuner didnt put the timing and the boost to it. 23psi is less than I run on 93.

Turn the boost up and put timing in that ***** if you're gonna run the corn juice.

I think you are right.we did boost leak test but no leaks were found.i also don't like the fact that it holds 23psi.but again I'm not an expert I asked my tuner is this normal afterI installed 25psi wg.he say yeah its ok because your turbo is maxed out at thatrpms.soIbelieve him.as I understand it's time to change the tuner?

lol, you have a 25psi actuator. I'm on a stock actuator and I hold 24psi easily to redline in every gear. It's normal for it to drop a few psi from the turbo maxing out once you're running way higher numbers, but theres a big red flag here...

You have a 25psi wastegate actuator...but you're tuned for 23psi....

think on that a bit. lol
