Accidently Removed pte bb oil feed restrictor fitting!

Accidentally removed the pte bb oil feed restrictor fitting. Now PTE says I could damage the turbo if I don't let them put it back on, and I have to wait 4 weeks to get it back. Is there actual damage that could be done. Has anyone removed this? Here's a photo of what I removed.

I guess I am not sure how you could damage it. I took mine off and put it back on a couple times and never had a issue.

Yes, the restrictor is to reduce the oil pressure to the housing, too much pressure will blow out the seals.

But... whatever, why should you listen to the manufacturer of the product, might as well ask the internet forum experts...... I can't even remotely comprehend your logic.

Although, you screwing it in vs PTE screwing it in.... I see no difference.

^ I dont think the question was regarding the role of the restrictor but rather questioning why PTE needs to put it back on rather than doing it himself...

Well to be fair... the OP isn't very descriptive of whether or the problem is him putting the restrictor back on or whether it requires the restrictor.

The size of the restrictor is in OEM specs which is require for normal operation so please listen to the manufacturer because its there for a reason. You can over pressurize and under pressurize the oil going to the turbo so the OEM restrictor gives the turbo the right amount of oil it needs.

Bring it down a bit, your on level 10 and getting worked up. I was pretty clear in my explanation, I took off the restrictor, and am wondering if I can put it back in myself.

Thank you for advice. Are you saying to bypass a restrictor. I personally know the turbo came with the restrictor and works well with it, so not running one may cause damage.
