Help me hit 600hp!

ok guy, im in a 2005 evo 8 , and im wanting to do a little more to open it up a bit. Im trying to achieve around 6-700hp on a 2.0, frequently driven but not daily, so if you would, can I get some feedback and inputs into my setup...

As of now my mods are:

Injen CAI system
Injen Intercooler Piping
OBX 3" FMIC
Buschur Double Pumper
Buschur Fuel Rail
Megan Exhaust Mani.
Megan O2 housing
Megan Downpipe
Test Pipe
Greddy Ti-C TBE
Hallman MBC
GSC S2 Cams
Stock injectors
AEM timing gears
Manley h-beam rods
Weisco forged pistons w/ arp bolts
Arp headbolts
Buschur Valve springs and retainers
Cometic Head Gasket
HKS Timing belt
Buschur Coil on plug ignition

My questionables, so feel free on giving some constructive criticism:

I am wanting to get the head and intake ported, but im not sure if I should do oversized valves
PTE 1200cc injectors
maybe a balance shaft delete
FP BLACK or FP HTA3582R Turbo
and maybe meth inj. or E85

...so what u guys think?

I think it would make a great drag car/ highway monster! But for anything else would be really laggy. I think you might enjoy a FP red more.

I drive a 6466 on a 2.0L on the street and its not too laggy for me, all in what u want. FP black would be a great street turbo and on e85 get you near your wanted power, a 3582 would get you in that hp range and have more power potential as well, it would just move your power band right. I would probably go hta 3586 if you go that route. The black is a bolt on stock frame style turbo and the 35r your gonna have to buy a kit so again it's all in what u want. I personally am not a fan of the stock frame bolt on turbos and prefer to sacrifice some spool for more power up top with a real turbo, but many people like the spool and low end torque they provide. If you do go the the 3582/86 route the tial v-band turbine housings are very nice, we just had one setting at the shop that Jeremy built a kit for. Also 1200cc injectors isn't going to be enough injector for your goals. Hope that helps some.....

Even in a very conservative tune, my stock 2.0 is fun with the black.

I agree with gpfury86. I'd go with a HTA 86. Have some room to grow.

Definitely will need bigger injectors.

Also, down shift to reduce lag

I am rocking a black and I like it a lot. Like people have said before, 1200's are to small of an injector. I'm not a fan of meth injection.
To many issues with pumps failing, poor distribution, and blown motors. Granted most of what you hear are horror stories but that's something I wouldn't deal with. E85 is what you want for your power goals.

6266 or similar. Skip the Red/Black. Bigger than 1200cc injectors and E85. Don't use meth (unless its installed professionally and has the correct fail-safes and is conservatively used). Built motor, built head and all the supporting mods. Don't even attempt it on a stock 2.0L you're asking for trouble if that's what you plan on doing.

Hopefully the only thing stock in the engine will be the crank, 1500 2000cc injectors?, any input on the oversized valves?

I just reread what you suggested doing.

I wouldn't do the oversize valves at this point. I'd leave the balance shafts in unless you're a dedicated Drag car. Not worth it IMHO. I'd port everything though. Also go SD. FF wouldn't be bad for a weekend warrior. I wouldn't on a commuter.

+1, drop the hammer in a lower gear, eh?

Nice! Where in TX are you? I'm visiting Austin as we speak. I'm tuning though. haha

What set up are you going to? It may help the OP. Or is it a secret?
