no start and ses light?

hey guys i need some help/advice.
i have an 03 evo with 97k

This morning i tried to start it and nothing happened except a weird buzzing noise from the rear of the car. It sounded like it was coming from the trunk or under the trunk. I tried a few times and this is all that happened. I had to go to work so i left it. After work it started right up but was running sluggish and i noticed my service engine soon light was on. Any help or advice for this?
My mods are 272 kelford cams, shep trans, rebuilt head and new head gasket at 88k. Tuned by melon racing. Full exhaust, 4 in ets fmic and piping.

thanks in advance
Nick

Buzzing noise is fuel pump, whether or not the sound you are hearing is normal remains to be seen. Is it aftermarket? With your mods I assume it is.

tested the battery, it was good. I do have a walbro 255 fuel pump. The sound was abnormally loud, not the typical fuel pump sound. I checked the codes today and all i got was P0335 crank shaft position senor a circuit malfunction. I'm going to start searching that now.
