ARP head studs

Hello EVOM. I have a Newbie question. What is the cutoff point as far as power and PSI that the stock headstuds can handle? In other words when do you switch to ARP headstuds? Just have boltons nothing internal. I would appreciate you guyses input.
Thanks in advance

Well I made the decision on doing mine for insurance. ... you will have some people say that you don't need them and to keep the factory seal and you'll have others tell you to go ahead and replace factory head bolts. The fun part Will be when people say its ok to replace them the 1x1 method and others will tell you remove the head and replacr head gasket... good luck bro

You "should be fine right now since your still on stock turbo. But once you upgrade the turbo, I'm sure you'll do the cams as well, which is a perfect time to do head studs. And there very cheap for what they do. I'll tell ya this, I was in excess of 34psi on stock heads studs until during a tuning session a vac line blew off my 3port and allowed the turbo to over spin, and when I say over spin, I mean 45psi of boost at redline. lol. My headgasket proceeded to say hell no and pop when that happened. So if I would were, I would say you're fine right now with your stock turbo, but once you upgrade, just do the head studs.

But fun part is to make the decision 1 by 1 or pull the head.$120 job vs $500.

Mine lifted on 22psi with stock turbo and a few bolt ons. It's only a matter of time.

It's good insurance to swap the studs for ARP, however the stock studs are capable of handling higher boost pressures if you are well tuned. Check this out for example:

do I need head studs for 27 psi
evo 9 stock headstuds safe 30 psi used fp red
