going with a quiet exhaust

Now we all know most aftermarket exhausts have a difficult issue with being quiet. Now I'm looking to go custom on the car back but I want a nice quiet muffler without the restrictions similar to the RRE stealth exhaust. Any ideas or suggestions?

Best way is stock catback with running a electric cutout.... Best of both worlds

So the stock catback is not a set back in performance? Should I focus on other areas vs bolt ons if I'm just getting started in tuning?

Hks sport 3" but the large shaped muffler is quiet.

Not stock quiet but for sure no drone. A resonated test pipe wouldn't hurt.

I hear ya but you know the law when they see it they'll call it and be like that exhaust is modified and illegal. I want that stock greyed out sleeper look but still have it on the quiet side.should I just switch mufflers?

Not a cheap solution but definitely the best one . Running a Xforce Varex muffler . By a simple button click you can run full straight pipe or quieter than stock .

I've done it on my 2 evo's

Running a hks hi power with a stm resonator and had a magna flow muffler also installed quite enough not to get pulled over . But buschur is one of the quietes around with magna flow muffler.

My wife always grumbles about how noisy the EVO exhaust is-- and mine is stock!

I leave the house very early, and she complains it wakes the kids up... oh well, it is music to my ears.

I have the buschur with the magnaflow and its not too bad. Not as quiet as stock but not obnoxious and I'm goibg catless so with a cat would be quieter

Lol that's funny ! My daughter loves my exhaust since she was born, hated it once I stop at a light cuz she didn't hear it. It put her to sleep every time. And my wife loves how my car sounds just hates the catless smell

If you can find it, the Perrin Stealth is another great choice. Its very quiet, 3" all the way and black from the tip to the cat. very sneaky.
