rainy day concerns

Hi everyone. My Evo has a gaping hole in its hood as would be expected, but there wasn't any sort of cover underneath and it just rained...a lot...like enough to leave a person drenched after a minute of standing outside.
So I was wondering if this could cause any problems when I start the car.

I'm a newbie so I kind of guess that yes it would cause some problems but I don't know what kind of problems.

Unless your filter for your air intake is near the ground that you'd suck in a looot of air by driving through a puddle you have nothibg to worry about.

What do you think happens when it snows and it melts its just water it'll evaporate as soon as it makes contact evaporating instantly. On that note the the car is make for that kind of punishment as it was designed to go through gravel tarmac and snow.

No worries dude. You got to remember our cars are rally cars so it can't take all weather and condition. As long as you don't suck up water your good to go. Worse is your gonna get a lot of rusted shut bolts and nuts, specially your mani studs.

Seattle owner here. I have an exposed air filter and there has been no problems yet. I do try to avoid huge puddles.

I like the smoke/steam that my car makes in the rain. Looks like a pi$$ed off animal.

He will be just fine. I take out the black grill piece in my hood in the summer, so it just has the mesh but I run the grill piece in Fall, Winter and Spring. Even without it shouldnt be an issue.
